Ozone: The Earth's Sunscreen

The Ozone layer surrounding the Earth acts as a sunscreen to protect us from UV rays. But UV rays from the sun are not the only thing Ozone molecules can interact with; they can also interact with gases that people release into the atmosphere. Scientist Anna Mani was one of the first people to measure the effects of this pollution on the ozone layer. Follow along with the activity below to understand why Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) emitted around the globe have harmed the Ozone layer.
