Mission
We are A World of Women in STEM (or WOW STEM for short). We make videos, write posts, and come up with fun activities that are focused on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and the women+ who have been part of these fields throughout history. By celebrating them, we hope that you get inspired and excited about STEM, and maybe learn something new along the way.
Explore
Most of the content on our website is focused on particular inspiring figures throughout the history of women+ in STEM. Each video and post is a jumping off point into the incredible discoveries these women+ made in their lives. We hope that you learn not only about who these women+ were, but also learn a bit more about the fields that they revolutionized.

If you click around the site, you’ll hear about how scientists categorize stars, tiny fundamental particles that make up the universe, and how flowers decide the perfect moment to bloom. Our team is made up of passionate undergraduate and graduate students from across the globe, who love science and spreading that love of science to the world. Why do we say "women+"?
We use "women+" to mean all people who are women and gender-minorities, including (but not limited to) those who are female, femme, trans, non-binary, gender-fluid, and agender.
